DIGITAL TV RECEPTION AND ANTENNAE
Receiving digital TV signals cleanly can be more complicated than receiving analogue signals. The signals must be strong and of high quality to produce pictures which do not break up and pixellate. An antenna installer will need to know the actual frequency and channel number allocated to each channel and network in different areas, as well as to which transmitter each frequency applies.
Once he knows this he needs a good quality digital field strength meter to allow him to measure both the strength and quality of the received signals. He is then able to decide which antenna will best serve your needs.
Antennae come in all shapes and sizes, and none are suitable for every location - your installer will know which are most suitable for your area.
